KEAM 2025: All You Need to Know About Kerala Medical Admissions
The NEET Entrance Exam for 2025 was conducted on May 4th, and its results were announced on June 14th. We now have our All India Rank, All India Category, and NEET scores. However, for admissions to MBBS, BDS, Agriculture, Veterinary, Ayurveda, and 13 other medical courses in Kerala, the Kerala Medical Rank List, prepared by the Kerala Entrance Commissioner, is crucial.
Submitting Your NEET Details for KEAM 2025
Students who applied for KEAM 2025 through the cee.kerala.gov.in website in February and opted for “Medical and Allied Courses” must now upload their NEET details to the Kerala website. This is a critical step as the Kerala Entrance Commissioner is now in the process of preparing the Kerala Medical Rank List.
The National Testing Agency (NTA), which conducts NEET, has already sent the NEET scores and details to various state entrance authorities. The Kerala Entrance Commissioner will retrieve your NEET scores directly from the NTA’s database. All other personal details, including your name, parents’ names, category, minority status, NRI status, etc., will be taken from the data you submitted during your initial KEAM application in February.
How to Link Your NEET Score to KEAM:
- Log in to the Kerala website (cee.kerala.gov.in) using your application number and password.
- In the candidate portal, navigate to the “NEET UG 2025” section.
- Enter your NEET Application Number, Roll Number, and Date of Birth as provided in your NEET application.
- Your NEET score card will be displayed. Verify that the details are correct and belong to you.
- Click on the “Verified and Submit” button.
- You can then print out the “NEET Result Submission Report,” which serves as your official record.
The deadline to upload your NEET details to the Kerala website is 12:00 AM on July 21st.
It’s vital for all students who applied for KEAM to complete this step. Unfortunately, about 10% of students often miss this crucial deadline, which can lead to them being excluded from the Kerala Medical Rank List and, consequently, from admissions to any medical course through the Kerala allotment process.
Kerala Medical Rank List & Category Ranks
The Kerala Medical Rank List is expected to be published as a PDF on the Kerala Entrance Commissioner’s website around July 25th or 26th. This list will provide your Kerala Medical Rank based on your NEET score and All India Rank, for approximately 75,000 qualified students from the around 1.25 lakh applicants.
Following this, around August 1st, the Category Ranks will also be released. This will specify your rank within various categories such as Ezhava, Muslim, EWS, Sports, NRI, Minority, PwD, etc., providing a clearer picture of your admission chances.
Important Dates for KEAM Medical Allotment 🗓️
Certificate Verification for NRI/Minority Quota
For students who applied for NRI seats in private MBBS/BDS colleges and submitted the required documents in February and June, the deadline for certificate verification has been extended until July 21st. This allows those who received memos to correct their documents and confirm their NRI status.
Allotment Process Commencement
After the publication of the Kerala Medical Rank List and Category Rank List (around August 1st or 2nd), the Kerala Medical Allotment process will begin on the cee.kerala.gov.in website.
Initially, the allotment for Government and Private MBBS/BDS colleges will commence simultaneously. Subsequently, the allotment for the other 11 medical allied courses like Agriculture, Veterinary, Ayurveda, and B.Pharm will begin.
National Medical Commission Guidelines
According to the National Medical Commission’s schedule, the allotment process for Kerala Medical is expected to start around July 30th. While these dates are tentative and may vary slightly, all state counseling procedures must adhere to this timeline.
Students will typically have 4-5 days to register their options for Government MBBS, Self-financing MBBS, NRI MBBS, Government BDS, and Self-financing BDS based on their preferred order. The allotment results will then be published.
Finally, all original certificates and the full tuition fee must be submitted directly to the allotted colleges for admission by August 14th for MBBS and BDS courses. This means the Kerala Medical Allotment for MBBS and BDS will largely take place between July 30th and August 14th.
Key Takeaways for KEAM 2025 Admissions:
