NEET 2023 - DRESS CODE

NEET 2023 Dress Code for Candidates

To prevent malpractices and any unfair means of practice, the NTA has prescribed a certain dress code for candidates appearing for the NEET entrance examination. This year’s NEET examination is scheduled for May 7th, 2023. A strict inspection will be held regarding obedience of the dress code on the day of the examination. Therefore, it is mandatory that the candidate follow the rules regarding dress code while appearing for the exam. The guidelines provide information regarding what kind of clothing, footwear, and other things can be allowed on the day of the examination.
In previous years, there have been controversial issues regarding dress codes and metal detection. Boys and girls who wore full sleeves had their sleeves cut off. Even some students were asked to take off their shoes before entering the exam hall. There have also been instances of students being asked to remove their head scarves or hijabs. As per the dress code rules, students are allowed to wear a religious or customary dress, but they will have to report to the exam center two hours earlier. The NEET dress code states that candidates are not allowed to wear any metallic objects or accessories during the exam as an anti-cheating measure. To prevent unnecessary issues and controversies, the candidates as well as the invigilators should have proper information on the rules regarding dress code.
We have uploaded a detailed video on the NEET 2023 dress code to our official YouTube channel, which can be summed up as:

• Candidates must wear a mask and gloves.
• A full-sleeve dress is not allowed to be worn by either a male or female candidate. They should wear a half-sleeve dress.
