What are the important documents required for NEET counseling?

The two important allotment processes involved in the Medical 2023 allotment process are the All India Allotment and the State Allotment. The all-India Allotment is done through the official website of MCC. As soon as the NEET results are published, the MCC will publish the counseling brochure, which has details regarding the important documents needed for the counseling process. For the NEET candidates from Kerala, the counseling and allotment process are done through the official website of CEE.

To participate in the All India Allotment, candidates have to first register on the official website of the MCC. There is no requirement to upload the documents to the website at the time of registration. But the Candidates who have been allotted a seat through NEET UG Counseling by MCC need to upload scanned copies of their original documents to the MCC portal as per the dates mentioned in the schedule published by MCC. Candidates without original certificates or documents will not be allowed to take admitted to the allotted College. Candidates have to submit the original documents to the allotted colleges at the time of joining. Below are the important documents required:

LIST OF DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR MEDICAL ADMISSION

• Allotment Letter issued by MCC
• Admit Cards of Exam issued by NTA.
• Result/ Rank letter issued by NTA.
• Date of Birth Certificate
• Class 10th Certificate
• Class 10+2 Certificate
• Class 10+2 Marks Sheet
• Eight Passport size photograph same as affixed on the application form.
• Proof of identity (Aadhar/ PAN/ Driving License/ Passport)

IMPORTANT ADDITIONAL DOCUMENTS FOR NRI STUDENTS  

• Embassy certificate and sponsor’s passport copy
• A sponsorship affidavit (indicating that the sponsor is willing to cover all costs for the duration of the study)
• Relationship Affidavit (Candidate’s Relationship with Sponsor)
• For OCI/PIO/Foreign national candidates citizenship certificate/ card number documents are mandatory

IMPORTANT DOCUMENTS FOR RESERVATION STUDENTS

SC or ST Category

• SC/ST Certificate issued by the authority in English or Hindi.
• Sub-caste should be clearly mentioned in the certificate.
• Some of the States insist on the English version of the Caste Certificate
• The candidate should carry an attested translated copy of the certificate in Hindi or English if the original is in a regional language.

OBC Category

• OBC-NCL as per Central List certificate issued by the authority.
• The Central List of OBC should match the sub-caste.
• The OBC candidates should not belong to Creamy Layer to claim OBC reservation benefits.
• The prospectus or information bulletin will specify the standard format for the OBC certificate.

Disability Category

• Disability Certificate issued from a duly constituted and authorized Medical Board in an online format by the designated centers as per NMC norms.
• No other PWD certificate, issued by any other Authority/Hospital will be entertained.

1. How is NEET document verification done online or offline?

The NEET document verification process is done offline. The candidates have to present the original certificate to the allotted college.

2. What are the valid ID proofs Required?

The candidate can submit either of the mentioned ID proofs for identity verification: PAN Card, Driving License, Voter ID, Passport, or Aadhaar Card (With Photograph).

3. Who is conducting the NEET Counseling Process?

The NTA (National Testing Agency) conducts and publishes the NEET examination and results. But the MCC (Medical Counseling Committee) conducts the Counseling and Allotment process.
