JEE Main 2026 Session 2: Application Correction Guide
Namaste from Brilliant Study Centre, Pala. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released an important public notice regarding the Joint Entrance Examination (Main) – 2026 Session 2. For students who have made errors during their initial registration, the NTA is providing a vital opportunity to edit and modify their particulars in the Online Application Form.
Official Correction Schedule
All registered candidates are advised to visit the official website to verify and correct their particulars if required. The schedule is as follows:

What Can You Edit?
The correction rules differ depending on whether you are an existing candidate from Session 1 or a new candidate who applied strictly for Session 2.
Existing Candidates (Applied for Session 1 & 2)
If you registered during Session 1 and applied for Session 2.
- Allowed to Change: Course (Paper), Medium of Question Paper, State Code of Eligibility, Examination Cities (as per available options), Educational qualification details, Gender, Category, and Identity Details (if non-Aadhaar).
- NOT Allowed to Change: Mobile Number, E-Mail Address, Permanent/Present Address, Emergency Contact details, and Uploaded Photograph.
New Candidates (Applied for Session 2 Only)
If you applied exclusively during the Session 2 registration window.
- Allowed to Change: Educational qualifications, State Code, Date of Birth, Gender, Category, Sub-category, Signature, and Paper.
- Name Changes: Can change any one of the fields: Candidate Name, Father’s Name, or Mother’s Name.
- Location & Identity: Can change Exam City Selection and Exam Medium based on present/permanent address. Identity details can be updated for non-Aadhaar registrations.
- Fees Apply: The additional fee (wherever applicable based on your category or paper changes) must be paid via Credit Card/Debit Card/Net Banking/UPI. Corrections in fields are applicable only after payment of this additional fee.
- One-Time Facility: This is a strict one-time facility extended to candidates. Once the corrections are done and submitted, the form shall be frozen, and no further opportunity will be provided.

Log in using your Application Number and Password between Feb 27 and Feb 28 to make the necessary changes.
