Visit the official website, log in using your Application Number and Password, and enter the OTP to clear the 2FA security.

NTA Rules for Valid OMR Marking

Before raising a challenge, ensure your markings adhere to NTA’s strict optical scanner guidelines. The OMR scanner captures data strictly based on physical markings.

  • Valid Marks: Only circles completely darkened using a Blue or Black Ball Point Pen are considered valid.
  • Multiple Circles: Darkening more than one circle for a single question renders the response invalid and will attract negative marking.
  • Overwriting: Responses cannot be changed once marked. Overwriting or tampering may fail scanner reading.
  • Stray Marks: Smudges, partial markings, or unintended dots can be misinterpreted by the OMR scanner.

Strict Warning Against Forgery (UFM)

Do not upload or base your challenge on a tampered/edited scanned image of the OMR sheet. NTA strictly treats this as a case of Unfair Means (UFM), which can result in debarment from future exams and legal proceedings.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Is the OMR challenge fee refundable?

Yes. While initially paid as a processing fee (₹200 per response), it is refunded if the candidate’s claim is officially verified as correct and the NTA establishes that the scanning agency read the parameter erroneously.

Can I challenge the NEET Answer Key along with the OMR sheet?

No, the official notice clearly states that the Answer Key Challenge window has already concluded. No further challenges to the Answer Keys will be entertained.

What if I don’t receive an OTP for logging in?

Ensure you are checking both the registered mobile number and email ID used during your NEET 2026 registration. If issues persist, you can contact the NTA helpline at 011-40759000 or email [email protected].

Ready to verify your OMR sheet?

The deadline is July 15, 2026 (11:00 AM). Make sure you check your recorded responses carefully before submitting any challenges.
