KEAM First Phase Allotment Published: Next Steps & Last Rank Details Guide

CEE Kerala has officially released the KEAM 2026 first phase allotment. This includes B.Tech admissions for government, aided, and private engineering colleges. Therefore, if you are in the KEAM counselling process, taking the right action now is crucial. In this guide, we cover fee payment deadlines, Phase 2 confirmation steps, and the latest Last Rank Details (LRD).

Quick Answer: Top 5 Actions for KEAM Allotment

  1. Fee Payment Deadline: Pay your acceptance fee online by the 12th (before 4:00 PM). This will confirm your seat.
  2. Check Portal: Log in to cee.kerala.gov.in. Use your application number and password to view your allotment memo.
  3. No Allotment Yet? Do nothing right now. Instead, wait for the Phase 2 option confirmation notification.
  4. Fee Waiver Candidates: SC/ST/OEC and other exempt categories must pay a ₹1000 token deposit. This secures the allotment.
  5. College Reporting: Do not visit colleges right now. Physical reporting happens only after Phase 2.

What to Do If You Received an Allotment

Did you secure a seat in the first phase? If so, your allotment memo is now live on the candidate portal. This memo shows your allotted college and course. Furthermore, it details the initial registration amount you paid and the balance fee required.

1. Pay the Allotment Fee

First, check the fee mentioned in your memo. You must pay this amount through the online portal by the 12th at 4:00 PM. As a result, you will retain your Phase 1 seat and remain eligible for Phase 2.

2. Prepare for Phase 2

Next, wait for Phase 2 to begin. Once it opens, log back in to complete your “Option Confirmation.” During this time, you can rearrange your existing options. However, you cannot add brand-new options.

Important Note on Opting Out
Are you unsatisfied with your current allotment? If you do not want to participate in the first two phases, simply do not pay the fee by the 12th. Consequently, you will lose your current seat and options. However, you can still join the third phase. To do this, you must forfeit a ₹2000 fee when authorities publish new vacancies.

Instructions for Special Categories

First, note that certain categories are fully exempt from paying tuition fees. This includes the Fee Waiver Scheme, OEC, Registered Fishermen, SC/ST, Dheevara, KU, and KN categories. Do you belong to one of these groups? If you received an allotment, you must pay a ₹1000 Token Deposit. You need to pay this by 4:00 PM on the 12th to secure your seat.

Later in the admission process, the authorities will refund this token amount to you. However, failing to pay will result in the loss of your allotted seat.

Do I need to visit my allotted college right now?

No, physical reporting is not required after the first phase. Instead, you only need to visit the college after the Second Phase Allotment is published. At that time, bring your original certificates and pay the remaining balance fees.

What happens if I get a higher option in Phase 2?

If you get a new college or course in Phase 2 or 3, your Phase 1 seat is automatically cancelled. Consequently, you must shift your studies to the new option. However, if you don’t get a new seat, your Phase 1 seat remains completely safe for all 4 years.
