Important Documents for NEET 2024 Allotment Process

The National Testing Agency (NTA) conducts and declares the NEET examination results, while the NEET counselling and seat allotment process is overseen by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). Following the announcement of NEET results, students must register on the official MCC website to participate in the seat allotment process. The registration fee is Rs. 10,000 for General Category students and Rs. 5,000 for SC/ST/OBC categories. Based on their NEET scores, students will be allotted seats among 91,927 MBBS and 26,949 BDS positions available.

Rounds in NEET Allotment Process

The NEET seat allotment process consists of four rounds: the 1st Round, 2nd Round, 3rd Round, and Stray Vacancy Round. Each of the first three rounds operates independently, allowing students the opportunity for new registration and new choice filling in each round. Participation in the 4th Round, known as the Stray Vacancy Round, is restricted to students who have registered in any of the first three rounds. This structured approach ensures a comprehensive and fair allocation of seats, giving students multiple chances to secure admission to their desired college.
