Online MBBS will not be Approved - NMC

The National Medical Commission (NMC) has warned Indian students to be wary of circulars issued by Chinese Universities to allow MBBS courses to be taught online. The notice made it clear that such courses would not be approved. Although the NMC has advised Indian students currently studying at Chinese Universities to continue their studies online due to the covid situation, this does not apply to new candidates. The NMC circular was issued following reports that medical universities in China have invited applications for MBBS courses in the next academic year admission. Those who choose a foreign country for medical studies are also advised to be careful. Students from foreign countries, including India, have not been able to go there and resume their studies. Classes are still conducted online. Final year students find it difficult to even get their practical training due to this reason. Universities in China have said that practical training can be obtained in the respective countries.

Students wishing to gain admission to foreign universities must comply with the FMGE guidelines.
