KEAM 2025 Results Expected This Week Following Approval of New Rank Calculation Method

Thiruvananthapuram: The Kerala Engineering Architecture and pharmacy (KEAM) 2025 results are anticipated this week, following a key decision by the state government on the ranking methodology. The delay in the result announcement, a cause of concern for many students, was to accommodate a significant revision in the mark standardization process, which has now been approved.
The hold-up was due to the government reviewing the formula used to calculate KEAM ranks. With the new procedure now officially approved, the path is clear for the results to be published. If the process moves forward as expected, students can look for the results to be released within the week.
Update on Mark Standardization for Rank Calculation
The government has approved a new formula for the standardization of marks used in preparing the KEAM rank list. This addresses concerns raised about the previous method of equalization, which has been in use since 2011.
Under the prior system, the marks of students from different academic boards (such as CBSE and the Kerala State Board) were equalized. It was observed that this process could lead to a reduction in the aggregate marks for students from the Kerala Higher Secondary stream when their scores in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics were combined with their KEAM entrance score.
The revised methodology, based on recommendations from an expert committee, will alter how these marks are standardized. The new approach, sometimes compared to the model used in Tamil Nadu, will normalize marks from different boards to a common baseline. The key change is that marks of students from the Kerala state syllabus will not be reduced during this equalization process.
When to Expect the KEAM 2025 Results?
Following the government’s policy approval, the office of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE) is preparing to release the results. Officials have stated that the results can be published within two days of the policy’s approval. This makes an announcement highly probable this week, potentially this week itself.
Final Opportunity for Application Corrections
The CEE is also providing a window for applicants to make corrections to their submitted online forms. Candidates can log in to their profiles to review and amend personal details, photo, signature, nativity status, and reservation claims.
This correction facility is open on the official CEE website until 12:00 PM on July 3rd. It is particularly important for candidates seeking reservation benefits or fee concessions to verify that their ‘Keralite’ nativity status is validated with the necessary documents.
